§ 8-52. Privacy screens.

  • Privacy screens shall meet the provisions of section 46-655, pertaining to accessory buildings, as supplemented or amended by the following:

    (1)

    They may be constructed in a solid fashion.

    (2)

    They may be constructed of combustible materials without a fire resistance rating.

    (3)

    They shall not exceed a height of eight feet as measured from the top of the floor surface of the deck, patio or porch.

    (4)

    They shall be subject to review and approval of the zoning administrator or his or her designee and shall not require approval by the planning commission.

    (5)

    Pursuant to determination of area as related to ground coverage, the privacy screen shall be considered part of the deck, patio or porch to which it is either affixed or adjacent to, and shall be added to the area calculation of said deck, patio or porch.
