§ 44-23. License required; additional licensure requirements imposed.

(a)

No person may keep or operate upon any public street or alley any conveyance, automobile or other vehicle for the transportation of passengers for hire; nor may any person transport for hire another in a vehicle without having first obtained a license in compliance with chapter 10, article II, pertaining to licenses and permits, and this article.

(b)

This chapter does not apply to public mass transportation services.
