§ 42-527. Violations.

  • Any user who is found to have violated any order of the city council, or who willfully or negligently, failed to comply with any of the provisions of this article, and the orders, rules, regulations and permits issued hereunder, shall be punished for violation of a misdemeanor. In addition to the penalties provided therein, the city may recover reasonable attorneys' fees, court costs, court reporters' fees and other expenses of litigation by appropriate suit at law against the person found to have violated this article, or the orders, rules, regulations, and permits issued hereunder. In addition, should it be determined that the POTW or any of the connecting sewer lines or lift stations have incurred damage as a result of any violation of this article, the city shall have the right to recover any and all damages from those parties in violation.
