§ 2-396. Code of ethics adopted.

(a)

Employees and elected officials of the City of Cadillac shall comply with all obligations imposed on them by the Political Activities of Public Employees Act, Act 169 of 1976, MCL 15.401 et seq; the Contracts of Public Servants with Public Entities Act, Act 317 of 1968, MCL 15.321 et seq; and the Standards of Conduct for Public Officers and Employees Act, Act 196 of 1973, MCL 15.341 et seq.

(b)

Any employee or elected official who violates any of the statutes identified in paragraph (a) shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, which is punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 and/or imprisonment for not more than 90 days.
